Virus Removal

Computer viruses have been there as long the computers have been in the market. Viruses are there for one purpose only and that is to destroy the software and programs in the computer. In a business, a virus can result in decreasing the productivity. A virus is a program created by a third person with the aim to cause problems in the other person’s computer like applications to spy on, corrupting the data, having the control of the computer and etc. Usually malware and viruses attack the software only but hardware can be targeted as well.

Once you have suspected that there is a virus in your computer, there are certain tips to deal with it. The first thing to do is to see the symptoms of the virus in your computer. If the speed of the computer gets unusually slow, if there are lots of errors popping up, if there are random reboots, if there are a lot of pop-up windows and etc. then you immediately should close all the windows and all the files. Then run the antivirus and make sure that is working properly.  Update the antivirus with the latest virus definitions then run it. If by any chance, the antivirus is not working, then there is a possibility that the virus must have disabled it.  To get through this, download the new version of the antivirus on some flash drive and then put it again and install it. Run the scan and detect all the viruses and threats.

The other tip to follow is to start the windows in the safe mode. This option is supposed to be used if the antivirus is not working.  This option is usually used when the problem in the computer interferes with the normal functionality of the Windows. To resume the windows in the safe mode, hit the F8 key and choose the safe mode option.  One other thing you can do is to delete all the files you have got through sharing networks. Usually viruses are transferred via these sharing networks and thus can be very risky and dangerous.
