The first types of stucco interior paints were made of water, sand and lime. The technologies have changed greatly over the past few years, and today stucco paints are composed of water, sand and Portland cement. Not that it is very expensive to use the lime for the same purposes, but Portland cement is considered to be much more durable and practical than all other types of adhesives. Stucco paint or simply stucco can be used as the walls and ceiling coating. You can use stucco for other constructional needs as well. In most cases, stucco paint is applied while it is still in a wet state. The main benefit of stuccoes is that unlike all other types of paints they can be applied to the unfinished surfaces. This is why these stucco paints are often used to hide the concrete or brick walls, cinder blocks, cracks, holes, and etc.
Stuccoes are believed to be the most durable and practical coatings of all others. They are the incredibly effective insulators. The many types of stucco paints are used as architectural or decorative finishing. In order to apply stucco paint, you will need a special stucco sprayer. Alternatively, you can apply stucco paints manually, but it will take much more time and effort to do it without a sprayer. To make the task even easier, you may want to add such adhesives as the lime, glass fibers, or acrylics to stucco. Such adhesives will improve the quality of the coating and will make it more durable.
Today stucco paints are available in many different colors and textures. They are used for decorative and insulating purposes. A mixture of stucco and adhesive can be applied either manually or with the mechanical stucco sprayers. You can also apply it with a simple plaster sprayer if you do not want to purchase a new mechanical sprayer for stucco painting. And in case you do not have any experience in the interior painting, try to find a good contractor to do the entire work for you. Even though painting the ceilings and walls with stucco is not a very difficult task, you still need some experience to do it perfectly.
