One of the cheapest ways to advertise local business services and products is yard sign.  Compared to several advertising methods and strategies, advertising via yard sign is considered as the most sort method.  Yard signs are even known as political sign. They are made with a plastic material known as Coroplast. One of the several benefits of such types of signs is they are very much low to the service and thus are easily seen by the people.  However, there are certain tips to be followed when advertising via yard sign. 

The first thing you should be sure of is that you have a decent contrast between the letters used and the Coroplast. Yellow background with black or red letters will be perfect. However you can still have the contrast of your own choice. Try to use the contrast which is visible and easy to read. Avoid using contrasts like the blue background with gray letters as this will not make it clear to read.  You can use the typical contrast that is white background with black letters.

The other tip to follow with yard sign advertisement is using the perfect size letters.  You shall make sure that your lettering is bold and big. People are typically driving and will only look for a second at your sign. So instead of using fancy fonts or unusual symbols and letters, use a font which is easy to read and should be big enough as well.

Headline matters a lot in any sort of advertisement. If the headline is catchy then people will actually tend to read and understand what your advertisement says.  So use a headline which convinces the reader to go through the remaining part of the sign.  The headline should be interesting and should prompt the reader the moment he sees the sign.   People usually are interested in knowing directly what is in for them. So tell them directly on what is there for them. An effective headline can get an enormous response compared to a non effective headline.  You should put the name of your company either on the top of the sign or underneath it.
